| Details: Kanakanak Hospital is a 16-bed Indian Health Service facility located in the beautiful waterside community of Dillingham, Alaska in the Bristol Bay region. As the only local hospital, we provide both outpatient and inpatient services. Our pharmacy consists of three full-time pharmacists and two pharmacy technicians who provide services for the emergency department, outpatient clinic and inpatients. Because of its central location, the hospital provides servcies to 21 remote villages in which the pharmacy's role is to provide prescriptions, prepare IV solutions, medication reconciliation, P&T committee, and serving the village clinics, all of which include close interaction with the physicians.
The community of Dillingham (pop. 2500) is the perfect location for the avid outdoorsman. Bristol Bay is known worldwide for its amazing salmon fishing and is a major hub for hunting and other outdoor expeditions. With mountains nearby there are plenty of activities year-round one can choose from. |

| Details: Fulltime retail pharmacist needed to work in an independently owned pharmacy in Anchorage. The pharmacist must be willing to learn about HIV treatments and eventually cross train to help in the infusion department. The pharmacy specializes in the treatment of HIV positive and cancer patients. The pharmacy provides oral medications and IV support and treatment, working intimately with physicians and nurses to give the best clinical clinical care to their patients.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing and be proficient in data entry and computer usage. |
