Support for Service to Health Care Practioners (SHARP)

The Support-for-Service to Health Care Practioners (SHARP I and II) loan repayment and incentive prorgram is providing multiple and sustainable opportunities for pharmacists in Alaska.  The program helps to recruit fairly new health professionals to provide services in underserved areas and receive loan repayment for two years with additional years on a year to year basis.  Skilled professionals can also be retained through the incentive program utilizing three year contracts and two tier levels for half-time or full-time employment.  Pharmacist placements are eligible as Tier-1.
